Rexiter’s active Korea all cap equity strategy that has been run as a fully invested synthetic strategy since 1st August 2006. The strategy has evolved from our extensive experience in Korea and is our fourth generation Korean equity product.

Rexiter has a stable, experienced Korean team and has maintained a local presence in Seoul since 1998.  The fund manager, Adrian Cowell, was a resident in Korea from 1992 until 2005. He is now based in Singapore and is supported by Kyung-Rae Min and Solim Kim who remain in the Seoul office.

Korea offers the combined opportunities of both growth and restructuring stories with genuine investment breadth and depth.  There is a wide choice of companies with good sector representation that would not normally be featured in core regional and global strategies.  Korea has some of the best management in emerging markets. With this investment choice, we have the opportunity to add value through our fundamental approach.

Investment Process

Investment Process

The investment process is predicated upon our own in-house research and analysis.  We attach great importance to establishing a relationship with company management and carefully evaluate a company by a variety of qualitative and quantitative criteria over time before making an investment decision.

    • We take a predominantly bottom up view to picking stocks
    • Neither growth nor value; looking for superior growth and value at market multiples
    • Contrarian approach
    • Investment horizon is medium term
    • The strategy is stock driven and will depart from the benchmark.

Investment Philosophy

Investment Philosophy

We believe emerging markets and Asia are different to developed markets and are changing rapidly. It takes experience and a specialist approach to keep up with these changing markets.
