We set up Rexiter to specialise in
global emerging markets and Asian strategies.

Rexiter was built around the global emerging markets and Asian team at Kleinwort Benson Investment Management (KBIM), latterly Dresdner RCM Global Advisors. The team left KBIM in 1997 following the merger with Dresdner RCM and set up a new company specialising in emerging markets and Asian investments. As a result, Rexiter was formed in August 1997.

Rexiter is owned by State Street Global Alliance, which is in turn owned by State Street Corporation and the Dutch Pension Fund, ABP. The remaining 24% of the company is employee-owned, giving us an added sense of ownership.

Our financial backing assures our long-term independence and helps us maintain our focus. It also gives us access to back-office support. Operations, IT, trading and administration are all carried out by State Street Global Advisors and its affiliates. This allows our fund managers to concentrate on what they do best – managing our clients' money. Indeed, two thirds of Rexiter's employees are investment professionals focused on fund management and research.
